Very poor worn out truck. Transmission is jerky. Steering is very loose and unsafe. Thanks goodness it was only a day rental. If I needed to drive across the country, I would have rejected this truck. Dangerous rattletrap. Mobile checkin and checkout was ok but instructions are very poor leading up to the process. The parking lot at this location was not plowed from the snowstorm that occurred nearly a week ago. There were only two parking spots and it was not clear where a rental truck should be returned. When trying to get into the parking lot, the Uhaul got stuck in the snow. Luckily I had family with me to get it out. It took a solid 20 minutes to get the truck out. This could have been avoided if the parking lot was plowed.Danea B.
I made a reservation to pick up the truck at 2105 North Federal. The day before pickup, I was informed that my vehicle was not available at that location. However, I could drive to Broomfield, Co to get the vehicle. Driving this distance was a terrible inconvenience. With a little effort, Uhaul could have had the vehicle at the N. Federal location for me to pickup as scheduled. Uhaul failed. Not satisfied, or confident in your service . . . . .Todd K.
Someone from U-HAUL should visit the place. It is a DUMP! I have never been in such an unclean, broken entrance window, unclean looking woman in my life. She took over 25 minutes to communicate with the computer program so I could be on my way. Grade: F-PETER A.

There was a frayed brake wire, and the latch was rusted and hard to open and close. The facility smelled strongly of auto paint. I would never use Uhaul again. This was the second time I ordered one size and got another size. The last time I had ordered one large truck and had to accept 2 smaller trucks which led to more gas and the need of an additional driver. Similarly, this time, I had to have a larger than ordered trailer which let to the use of more gas due to extra hauling weight.Michelle R.

Was blindsided that the location was closed on the weekend when online it said it was open. Please have this updated on your website. The online checkout process is terrible. The fact that you have to wait for approval while you are sitting at the lot is really a pain. Why not require user photo and ID info BEFORE so that customers don't have to wait for someone in customer service to click â€˜confirm' on a computer. Also the photos of the vehicle never loaded so I just had to click continue in the app and hope for the best when I finally got approved for the truck.Chris R.

1. I needed to carry an 18 ft long load. While you advertise trucks with such a capacity, that's a LIE. You count the â€œgrandma's atticâ€ over the cab, as part of the cargo box length. How in the hell does that space count for carrying a load on the floor? I had to go to a huge 26 ft van in order to carry my 18 ft. load, and I had lots of space left over at each end. Can't you come up with an intermediate size van, between 18 and 26 ft? 2. Between the time I initiallly arranged the rental and the time I picked up the truck, I was redirected to THREE different rental locations. Why? 3. When I first called to arrange the rental, I informed the person with whom I was speaking that I needed floor tiedowns. I was told that while your newer trucks did not have such tiedowns, some of your older trucks had such floor tiedowns and such a rental could be arranged at the Denver pickup. That turned out to be wrong, too. I nearly canceled the rental when I found that it did not have floor tiedowns, but I was backed into a corner at that point, having committed to a purchase and pickup of my load. We found ways to secure the load using the side rails in the van box, but floor tiedowns would have been better. 4. The truck was presented as â€œclean.â€ But the cab had food crumbs and remnants of cellophane wrappers in it, and from the odor it clearly had been smoked in. 5. There was no operator's manual in the truck. There was still one rocker switch on the panel which I never learned the function of, by the time I completed my 1,600+ mile trip. I could not reset the clock to the appropriate time zone, since I had no instructions available. I have no idea how to operate the radio. It took me two days before I figured out that I didn't need to run with the A/C on to get airflow in the cab. The staff at the Denver pickup location had no idea about any of this, when I asked them. 6. Not much you can do about this last point, but that monster van drove - well, like a monster van. Unstable at highway speeds (I never went over 65, even in the 75 mph zones out west), subject to wind gusts, constantly wandering from my lane, although I suspect the lane wandering was due to the tire paths in the pavement being worn down by 18 wheelers over the years. Again, not your fault, but these factors created an environment where I had to be constantly sawing back & forth on the wheel at every second of my drive. Definitely not fun. The ride on rough roads was horrendous, but then that's to be expected with a truck that has stiff suspension for heavy loads (my load was only about 700 lbs.) I doubt that at my age and present situation that I will ever need to rent such a vehicle again, but if I ever do, I will go elsewhere.john M.

Called and made reservation. Was not told they would be closed when I had araenged pickup time. Was forced to download App to make another reservation. Coundn't get app to work right. My advice is NOT to do the self check-in. It didn't work for me. When I sent my photo and picture of my driver's license in, it came back as a denial of rental. I couldn't figure out why and neither could the woman who rented us the truck. It was ridiculous. Then, when I got to the UHaul rental where our UBoxes were being held -- we went there to clean out one of the boxes and access items out of the other two--the people at that UHaul location had not received an email from 1-800-Go-Uhaul indicated that we were coming. So, all around, kind of a mess. But the truck rental from the Teller St/Broomfield, CO location was fine. The problem is with the UHaul system...like all software/computer programs...it just doesn't always work well.Margaret S.

We had a car hauler as well - we had to call a friend to help us load the car because the uhaul people would NOT show us how to do it! The windshield wipers are shot on that truck and thank God we had good weather on our cross country trip because we would have had to buy new wipers and charge uhaul!SUSAN D.

Truck was empty on fuel was told it was half full, checked it out it was at less than a quarter of a tank, clerk would not verify this, had to fill 20 gallons of fuel low fuel warning came on, and only drove 15 miles total.
