Tell them NOT to use U-Haul. If they do, call ahead and spend a ton of time making sure what you planned for is actually there. Not only did my location not have my equipment, they were robbed of both equipment and gasoline. My truck had less than 1/4 tank of gas.

Back of truck had moving blankets all over. Was almost charged for more miles than I used. I had to call customer service for help. I was almost charged for 21 more miles than I actually used.

First problem was with the U-Haul website. It told me to go to an address that did not have my reservation so we had to waste time getting to the correct place for the truck. As for the truck, the housing around the key was broken so the only way the truck key could work was by using a pair of pliers to turn the key.

I had a 5pm pick up appointment, and here was no Uhaul employee. The Gas station attendant, Tre Michael was awesome. He saved the entire experience and he's not your employee. First, you changed locations on me 2 days before my rental making it delightfully inconvenient to pick up. Second I had to deal with your horrible internet check in, dropped the first time and the second attempt I was rejected for because my "photo could not be verified." I'm a preferred repeat customer, how do you treat new customers? Then, once TM had done your job by checking me in and calling 4 of 5 Uhaul employees for assistance, the key could not be found. It took over 45 minutes for all this BS to happen so I left frustrated and tired - no way to be driving a big old moving truck through town, now is it? The truck was great, the Uhaul service lousy, the worst ever. Granted I've used you guys maybe 6 times in 30 years, but service had NEVER been an issue before

I’d give it a qualified recommendation. The employees care about doing a good job and helping their customers, but they don’t have enough support. For example they don’t have a phone answering system or voicemail. The lone employee I saw seemed busy enough that he could use a coworker. This delayed my rental by about 30 minutes. In general I’d recommend that people go to a different uhaul.

Give every customer the lockbox code or be there when you say you will be there so the customer doesn’t have to put their keys in the lockbox once someone else who was told the code arrives. We wasted an hour waiting for someone.

I didn't know the truck needed to be swept out before returning it. The attendant kindly offered me the option to use their broom to sweep it out or pay a cleaning fee. No-brainer, I swept it out myself. Nice service.

Not charge fir a cleaning fee when it was as clean as when I picked it up...charging a fee for after hr drop iff when I did all the work; took pictures and uploaded...other locations have not charged $35 extra. In addition I filled the tamk w an 1\8th of a tank more than I took it.

I was charged $25 for moving pads and dollies that I did not ask for or receive. I have tried to get the charges removed and have received no response. I haven’t made it back into the location yet, but will continue to pursue a refund.

Slow service.Crammed. No parking. OVERCHARGED: 1- 10.00 for Pads and Dolly. Didn't want, didn't use, specified that on my order. 2- 13.+ I was told, and given a print out, that showed how many gallons of gas to get back to 3/8. It said 5 gallons. I put in 5 gallons, but they had taken the keys so I couldn't check the gas gauge. Bill comes back with 13+ gas charge. UHaul, your business practices are unethical and I will remember them the next time I consider a truck.

Uhaul’s entire system was down so they couldn’t officially check me back in. Then I was charged $13.50 for gas later even though I filled it up back to the level when I checked it out. Just under 1/2 a tank. The entire uhaul rental experience was just awful.

Needs better signage - it wasn't clear where to return the truck as cars were blocking the equipment return driveway. The Uhaul employee wasn't in the office even though it was during business hours, so we weren't able to finalize the equipment eturn in person. It was annoying having to call to correct a billing error.

There was an extra 248$ rental tax the was never mentioned on the original Uhaul contract. It’s very upsetting to get an extras rental tax charge and the gentleman working the counter at the 76 told me 200$ was a hold amount and it would be refunded. It was a lie.

My truck was low on oil, turning in a warning light on the dash. I called the dealer, and they told me the truck was just inspected (they apparently didn’t check the oil). It had a terrible miss in the engine under load, but I got hassled about footprints in the back. I swept out the back when we were done, but I was told mopping it was in order. I’m not mopping out a moving truck when it doesn’t run well and I have to add oil. The truck barely made it up my driveway, and I could not move the steering wheel unless the truck was moving. Also, I couldn’t review the helper I found through your site, so I couldn’t get back my $5.95 promised upon a review. The web site didn’t work to allow me to review. That reminds me of another thing. I went on the site to reserve my truck, and I entered sept 16 as the start date and sept 17 as the end date, but the system took my end date as the start date, so I had to scramble to get a truck on the day I asked to have one reserved. It was really a bad experience.

The guy who I rented the truck from was rude and not honest (he seemed to be the owner of the gas station/shop/u-haul rental). I had rented at a different u-hauls before and never felt so pressure and rushed into just signing the contract. For this occasion I had looked at making my rental process completely on line -so I had already looked at the costs for this particular rental- but I had a question about the hitch on the truck so I decided to go in person (big mistake) so I could ask them but instead the guy rushed me through the process because he said he had other stuff to do. When I felt pressured I told him I would rather complete the process on line but he told me there was no more trucks available evethough I could still see availability on so I told him I had to come back, then he said I had to either get rental truck now or it would be the next day because he was about to close (the sign on the door and the info online showed we still had almost an hour before the actual closing time). I had no choice but to get the rental from him because I needed the truck for that day. But once again, disappointment when I saw the extra charges that I didn't saw before when making the reservation on line and eventhough I pointed that to him, he still said it was the same charges on line. Once I had the truck I noticed the gas gauge was less than what the contract said so quickly turned back to let him know but the shop was already closed (before the actual hours posted) so I knocked hard on the door and he finally came out and once he saw the gauge, he refused to make a new print out with the actual gas gauge reading so he justed marked with a pen on my contract -needless to say that I video recorded- and said there would be no problem when I brought the truck back. In all, I feel very dissatisfied with his service and the extea money I had to pay, very unfortunate that this location was the closest to me but next time, if there is a next time me renting from u-haul (it will depend on the answer I get from this review) it will be at a different location.

This was the worst possible experience. Service was horrible, the clerk was unable to help figure out the U-Haul app, equipment was missing, there was a quarter tank of gas and the U-Haul was in terrible shape.

Fucking awful customer service. Did not do anything with my trailer when I got there and wouldn’t even let me drop it off at night, I had to come back the next day and the customer service rep was so overwhelmed by having 2 customers he told me to just leave the trailer in the parking lot without getting any of my info. Absolutely awful and I will really be considering using a different moving company in the future.

i was told that there was a mobile drop off option when i picked up the truck and would be able to drop off the truck, mobile, after hours. upon returning the truck we were told we were not allowed to do after hour drop offs, and the lock box did not work. we were not able to get ahold of customer service to rectify the situation in the moment and caused stress for the situation.

No one around when we drop the trailer out back. The parking area was littered with trash and debris. Sign on door said the uhaul rep was on break. Employees at the gas station helped me find him but he told me he was on break so I waited. After 20 minutes he went to move a truck to the gas pump and I told him I wanted to check the trailer in and he told me he already checked in the trailer when he saw me pull in and sent me two emails to confirm. Bad service experience!

pad that was reserved when I reserved the van was not available at the time of pick up only 25 minutes later. Apparently a prior customer took all the pads and none was reserved for me. Luckily I ended up not needing the pad.

This location is also a mechanic's shop so the last two times I've rented it's always been a little awkward. The mechanics are busy and it feels like the last thing they want to do is stop their task and help with rentals. This time I decided to use the app so I wouldn't bother anyone but still had to wait 20 min. to get my keys after being blatantly ignored. The man working handed me the wrong set of keys so I used a different rental than the app said. At that point I didn't want to bother with asking for the correct set of keys. All in all I wouldn't go back to this location again even though it's less than a mile from my home.

The person there was super- courteous and really helpful. Trying to actually rent the truck took more time than I have ever spent at a rental. When people rent a truck every 5 years and the learning curve is so steep, it makes me know I will just call movers next time.

The staff was not very helpful. When I dropped off the vehicle he warned me that not refilling the vehicle would probably cost me around 20 dollars (based on my using 1/16th of the gas in the tank). I took his advice and guessed how much gas to put in. I overestimated and returned the vehicle with more gas in it than when I received it. I asked the attendant if there was some way to receive credit for the discrepancy and his reply was,"Nah, that's on you bro." I wish the interaction had given me the tools to effectively guess how much gas to put into the tank. Instead, the attendant made me nervous about fees making me err on the side of overfilling, not telling me that there was no way to receive a refund for overfilling, and then making me feel cheated when I filled the vehicle beyond what was required of me. I would not recommend this location to anyone and will not use it again.

The online system was awful. You should have people do online verification ahead of time. It was stressful to me to have to think of someone to call and verify my identity while trying to check out the truck and we ended up being quite late. I asked the rep on the phone to comp an hour and she just added the charge for an extra day.

Fire everyone the works there and close it. Closed early on the day I arrived to return trailer they had a hand written note on the door that stated a 50 dollar charge would be added for after hours drop off. I came back Sat morning at 0800 which is what time the internet said they opened no one was there and the service station personnel said they never come in until nine. Call corporate and informed them and then dropped trailer in yard. If this is the way you run your corporation and allow your outlets to be run you have a very big problem and Penski should enjoy their new customers.

The time I selected was changed and shorted. The price I was quoted was doubled. Overall, not impressed with U-Haul. This move we’ve used it 3 times and each time it has been one mess after another. Most likely won’t be using them again in the future after everything we dealt with.

First, I made a reservation at a U-haul nearest my disabled vehicle. The day before the scheduled I received an email directing me to pick up the trailer at a site that was 50 miles out of my way. Secondly, on the day of pickup I called ahead to say I was going to be about an hour late (2 PM instead of 1 PM) and the fellow on the other end said he was leaving at 1:30 and to call the main office for another place to pick up the trailer. This was sorted out by a call to the main office, but on arrival at Vans the trailer was parked in a spot that was all but impossible to get to. After much muscle power we were able to get it connected.

We broke down and they said their roadside assistance took 15 minutes. It took 2 hours. We missed being able to use the loading docks at the new apartments and had to carry our furniture blocks down the street. All over a faulty truck that they *already knew* had problems. we also missed there drop off time of 4:30 and had to return the truck the following day. This "no after hours drop off isn't listed on the website" We asked for a credit for the inconvenience and of course they refused. Terrible experience. Uhaul sucks in general but this pick up location is a nightmare.

Wretched experience. Express check-in absolutely pointless because customer still must interact with a u-haul attendant. This would be marginally acceptable if an attendant was ACTUALLY working during business hours. Office was empty and locked up for the day at 4pm on a Friday. Telephone customer service said there was nothing else they could do to fix this terrible experience because the Vans 76 management wouldn't answer the phone. Management left keys and sticky notes for the 76 gas station employee (employed and operating the adjacent 76 gas station) who is not at all affiliated with u-haul. Absolute awful experience. This location needs to close down. It's more detrimental to the customer experience with u-haul than not having a location here at all. Hard pass next time. Will avoid at all cost

I’m pretty upset with this uhaul experience. I’ve only ever had positive experiences with other locations. So to start, I walked into the office and no one is at the desk. Finally, this young dude Matt walks up, looking utterly annoyed at me. Big red flag, like I’m genuinely not impatient so I was on my phone occupying myself—no reason to get mad at me. So I don’t initially notice he has a phone under his chin and I said “Hey! how’s it going?” the dude looks and me and says in a dead pissed tone “Hey I’m busy it’ll be ten minutes. You can sit over there.” He pointed to some folding chairs in the corner of the room. I sit down, I’m not trying to be stressed about it, figure he’s having a rough day. So he eventually is on hold with whoever is on the phone and says he’ll start checking me in. I’m like cool, yeah, nice. I give him my info and I’m ready to go, not without *so much* unnecessary nasty attitude but again, really not trying to let this guy put me down. I leave the office and realize he never told me where my truck was, so I go back in and ask—his response was an eyeroll and a “Yeah it’s over there.” He vaguely points to the lot full of trucks, with kind of a knowing look to some other guy like, look at this woman who’s an idiot. Great. Love it. So I get help from a different employee who seems to take pity on me, he finds the truck despite that absolutely not being his job. Then I look in the bed and the dolly I ordered isn’t there. So i go back in and said, “Hey! I forgot my dolly.” And he says, “Oh yeah well it’s in that truck over there.” He points to the back of an open uhaul. “Just go grab it.” So I go outside to grab it and that truck is speeding off. So I go back inside and tell him they left, and he literally says exasperated at ME “ughh go follow them and get it??” At this point I’m like, what the heck??? What is this dude’s deal??? Then he cones outside and he’s like “Okay...I guess I’ll grab that for you” and he’s sighing and moaning, as if this is all my fault? So he hands it to me and I’m just holding in my frustration. Get in the truck and the gas is at 1/4 tank instead of 3/8 like he said and I’m so tired of talking to him that I just take off. Dropping it off was equally the worst, the friend I went with said I should’ve gone off on the dude even without knowing my experience at pickup. Don’t really want to get into it because this is very long already and negativity is tiring.
