Truck had a leak Individual renting out the truck was rude

anthony p. on

The truck smells like it’s been smoked in seance the day was bought new. Truck had real bad vibration in front end. I don’t think this truck is being properly mantained. Will not be using uhaul for future rentals or at least this location.

Straight forward-Honest and Fair. What more can you ask for?

Make sure that drop box is closed and locked after hours. I found it open, did not want to leave key in an insecure box, and so had to come back the next day during business hours.

When I got to the location at 9:45 AM there was no one there to help me, the doors are locked even though the door clearly said they were open at 9 AM, so I went online to check the reviews and apparently the owner is extremely rude, is rarely open and seems to make his own hours. The place was very dirty and In a very rough area

If you have rented UHaul before and are comfortable with the procedure, this place is fine. However, if you need a friendly proprietor to walk you through things, you might not find that here.

Our truck was brand new (only 1,300 miles), and was in excellent mechanical condition. HOWEVER, for a short time we drove through heavy rain and the cargo area leaked!

It was a little frustrating originally because my location was moved the day prior to a different place. When we got there we waited an hour to find out they didn’t even have our truck. But it was resolved when I called and they moved us to the location above.

The attendant there was extremely rude, not very helpful when there was a problem with the lights on the trailer was not working. He insisted that there had to be a problem with my truck and it couldn’t be his trailer. So after looking in my fuse box and not finding a problem I get up and asked my son where did the guy go. His answer was he looked at me and said ( I don’t work on cars ) and went back inside. So I got my jumper cables out connected one to the truck and one to the trailer to ground the trailer to the truck, and the right turn signal / brake light started working. But nothing else, so I then took the pigtail extension off of the trailer beside me and put it on the trailer and the lights all worked. So I took the bad extension in the office to him to be told no there’s nothing wrong with that cable, after waiting for him to get off the phone of what sounded like a personal call. As many years as I have rented from uhaul I have never have such poor and rude service.

I don't know. They make it easy here and quick. Can't think of what they can do to make it better. I'm in and out.

Customer service person at the store was unfriendly and unhelpful. Equipment was fine and location was convenient.

I’ve used this location 3 times. Absolutely the best. Thanks again!

Everything was good. Thank you.

It's an industrial area and not well lit. Could see this as disconcerting for some customers.

Was given a quote of $342.00 and was charged $402.00 because I changed my pick up date to a few days later. Add integrity to your mission of customer service. The man checking me out was more concerned with his girlfriend/wife and child sitting on counter having swallowed a piece of paper than assisting me. I felt that I was an inconvenience. Failed to give me my copy of paper work

fantastic customer service. Very willing to help, easy check in and out.

We arranged for a drop-off location on Harris Street, so this was not our intended drop-off location. When we arrived at Harris Street we were actually told we could not drop off the truck there because the lot was full. We were told we would have to go to the above location. I would respectfully like to say that lots being full or not should be U Haul's problem, not the problem of someone unfamiliar with your town who has just moved there. A U Haul person should have accepted the drop-off, thanked us for our business and arranged to empty the lot on his or her time, not ours. This was quite an inconvenience.

Hours are not convenient, no offer to help put trailer on vehicle, forgot to put rcpt in rental folder

I initial reservation was cancelled by UHaul without my permission. Then, I was not charged properly and the owner was rude when I called. He referred me to customer service to resolve the issue and CS said it will take 48-72 hours to get back the $30 owed.

Self checkout requires internet and there is little to no service in this area. Checkout on the app was a nightmare and when I called for help, was on hold for over 30 minutes. Finally got in touch with area rep who was nice enough to get me the key access code. Return ing the vehicle was just as difficult as checking out and had to call the area rep again for help. Thanks to John but will never self checkout at this location again.

To say hooking up a tow dolly with little helpful guidance from the owner is less than ideal would be far too generous. "I usually wipe my hands on my pants when they're dirty" was the response when asking to use a sink or even a hose after lying in the mud to fasten the the tow dolly chains to my vehicle. Especially when doing so in a parking lot that looks like swiss cheese on a rainy day.
