The person that rented me the u haul, did not check the van before I took it he just handed me the keys. When I return it he claims that the gas cover was missing. I never got gas, didn't need to. So I was charged $150. Not happy at all.

When I checked Van in, I was told I had paid for insurance. I Did NOT Want insurance. I checked that box on the online order. NOT Happy I had to pay $70.00 for something I did NOT want. Plus when I picked up Van, I had to call customer service because the self sign in was not allowing me to finish sign in at location.

Extremely unprofessional, this location does not project the usual U-haul image. I pulled in to drop off the trailer and 2 people were sitting at a picnic table outside the building. I walked inside and waited a couple minutes, no one came in to ask if they could help me. I walked back outside and the 2 people were still sitting there at the picnic table talking to each other. I asked if there was someone that could help me and the gentleman instructed me where to put the trailer, but offered no assistance. I went to hand him the paperwork and he said that he would handle it later. So I backed the trailer into the spot where he instructed me and unhooked it myself, then left. They made no effort to assist me or check me out. I guess I was interrupting their lunch or something....very poor representation of your company and they should be removed as a U-haul location

The management and staff of this location were excellent. There was a minor technical issue with my reservation. They went above and beyond to solve this problem. I wouldn't get a truck from anyone else in Charlottesville.

The gentleman who helped us went above and beyond. My lights weren't working, so he checked fuses etc. Finally discovered the issue was our adapter. He had one for us to purchase, which was a lifesaver! Highly recommend this location!!

Insulation strip around driver's door fell off when door was open. Parking break directions are under the dashboard so you can't read them. Customer service could be improved. Owner was a be grumpy. Charges $25 for cleaning fee. Why?

It's not that they were not helpful, they were just having a 15-minute discussion with another customer and then failed to log in that we'd given back the truck, resulting in a call to us asking where the truck was.

I will be contacting uhaul because I have been overcharged. When I went to pick up the rental unit they had added insurance, roughly another days rental. I told them I didn't want nor need insurance and was told it would be removed. It wasn't and has shown up on my credit card statement. I will dispute the charge until the insurance charge is removed.

The drop off seemed very unorganized. Told me that I just needed to drop the trailer with the rest of them and that I did not need a receipt. I then received a phone call from uhaul two days later asking me when I was going to return the trailer. When I said that I already returned it, they wanted to know where I dropped it off.

I originally requested a different pickup location but was transferred here. The location did not have enough utility dollies for my order despite booking online in advance. I was offered an appliance dollie instead, but had to go outside and collect serial numbers from 4 different dollies before finding one that worked. Dollies were kept outside and had spiderwebs and dust on them. Employee at the desk was curt and constantly exasperated when asked routine requests. He was annoyed by customers and did not hide that. Lastly, was not provided a paper copy of my contract and instead emailed a copy after the fact. Return location was given verbally as the one in Falls Church, which happens to be one of two locations (also not the location I requested when ordering online).

Remove Dakota Odd Jobs from one of your vendors for loading and unloading through I'm still trying to get them to finish their part of the move. One helper just walked off the job after only about 45-minutes. My boxspring is still sitting in my kitchen. This doesn't make u-haul look good at all.

The Uhaul website gave a choice to drop off the trailer at a store that is no longer even in business yet it's still listed as a drop off point. We then sought out a secondary location. They refused to accept a trailer. After talking to the national office for help, we were given a third location to drop off. Upon arriving there, we discovered this location had closed at 4:00. We arrived at approximately 4:15. After yet another phone call to the national help number, we were told just to leave the trailer. The national office never mentioned that this location closes at 4:00. We have rented Uhaul trailers numerous times in the past & this was by far a very disappointing experience as the drop off took well over 2 hours with driving all over town & having to make phone calls where we were left on hold for extended periods.
