Was given a quote of $342.00 and was charged $402.00 because I changed my pick up date to a few days later. Add integrity to your mission of customer service. The man checking me out was more concerned with his girlfriend/wife and child sitting on counter having swallowed a piece of paper than assisting me. I felt that I was an inconvenience. Failed to give me my copy of paper work

We arranged for a drop-off location on Harris Street, so this was not our intended drop-off location. When we arrived at Harris Street we were actually told we could not drop off the truck there because the lot was full. We were told we would have to go to the above location. I would respectfully like to say that lots being full or not should be U Haul's problem, not the problem of someone unfamiliar with your town who has just moved there. A U Haul person should have accepted the drop-off, thanked us for our business and arranged to empty the lot on his or her time, not ours. This was quite an inconvenience.

I initial reservation was cancelled by UHaul without my permission. Then, I was not charged properly and the owner was rude when I called. He referred me to customer service to resolve the issue and CS said it will take 48-72 hours to get back the $30 owed.

Self checkout requires internet and there is little to no service in this area. Checkout on the app was a nightmare and when I called for help, was on hold for over 30 minutes. Finally got in touch with area rep who was nice enough to get me the key access code. Return ing the vehicle was just as difficult as checking out and had to call the area rep again for help. Thanks to John but will never self checkout at this location again.

To say hooking up a tow dolly with little helpful guidance from the owner is less than ideal would be far too generous. "I usually wipe my hands on my pants when they're dirty" was the response when asking to use a sink or even a hose after lying in the mud to fasten the the tow dolly chains to my vehicle. Especially when doing so in a parking lot that looks like swiss cheese on a rainy day.

The self-pickup/return is a good idea, but the location is pretty sketchy at night. I did not expect to have to go through so many steps on the phone to return the vehicle, but there is quite a process, and I was feeling extremely uncomfortable having to get out of the van and take out my smartphone in this dark, empty parking lot off the highway at 10pm. I think the self-serve locations should be well-lit, publicly traffic-ed places.

The rep at this location was not very helpful or professional. Pretty much had to figure out how to find my truck and how to get to key. He never moved from his chair. The truck smelled like cigarettes when I picked it up.

Owner would not listen to customer about what had been quoted to him online and via phone by U-Haul and was unwilling to make any effort to call U-Haul to remedy any of the issue… I found that very below customer oriented business.

Representative was not helpful. I ordered on-line pads and a dolly neither were present at time of move. I am disabled and had my cousin available to drive the truck. The rep asked her if she wanted a dolly or pass, could he not read the order that I had already ordered them. Very upset about the whole experience this time. Refused to manually enter my credit card, made my cousin come an additional 16 miles to come back across town and then back to their establishment, put us another hour behind. Uhaul over all is a wonderful customer service based company, but that location was not a good representation who Uhaul is. I've had really good experiences with Uhaul, my last move back in December with Avon Motors was wonderful.

Everything was fine with the truck, the site was relatively easy to get in and out of. Attendant wasn't the friendliest guy around. Didn't show any intention of moving from his seat or helping with anything. But he wasn't rude, and he got us in and out in a timely manner. Overall, just fine, no issues.

Reserved truck days in advance and when I went to pick it up someone else had rented it. Called customer service waited 15 mins for someone to pick up the phone. She was super nice and found me another truck miles down the road. When I arrived at 4:45pm they we're already closed. Contacted customer service again and waited for them to pick another 15 mins. She contacted someone to give me the combination for the Dropbox and we went on our way. I was told the drop off location was close Not! 25 mins down the road out of the way. The only positive thing about the experience we're the ladies on the phone which shows me this is a constant problem.

I had one major problem. I did the self checkout option as I was onsite after opening hours. The code I received from UHAUL.com self check out did not work to open the lockbox and access the key. So I spent 25 minutes calling and waiting for the correct key code.

The gentleman that checked me in was rude. My rental was from 10am to 4pm. He informed me that I had to have truck back by 3pm because he had to go home to paint a fence. “Not 3:05 m’am, 3:00”. I was not asked if I wanted the $14 safe coverage, I was charged it. I will not use this service again.

The place was dirty and the man was not very nice about questions I asked about renting truck I had reserved a bigger one but that location didn't open that day but when I called Uhaul and they were always nice about extending rentals due to size of smaller truck

When I called the day before was told that truck would not be there. I was given about 9 emails and very confused. I called Uhaul to see why my location was changed... was on the phone with Uhaul from 430 to 630pm. Had several supervisors hang up. Eventually got a supervisor who could not help so very disappointed with this overall experience. Might not be a loyal Uhaul customer next time.

The side mirror on the truck was smashed, the truck looked like it went to hell and back again, the driver side rear tire had no tread on it. the rental agent stood outside cleaning a van knowing I was there waiting for at least 15 min. I originally reserved a truck in my hometown of Scottsville. Only to have my reservation changed to Charlottesville which was 30 miles in the wrong direction. I will never ever use U-Haul again. Penske is a little more but the service and trucks are worth it.
