I was given a free extra day on the the truck rental for a total of 3 days. When I tried to explain to the staff, why I was given an extra day he was very disrespectful. He didn't listen, he kept on arguing and saying No, no, no without applying his listening skills. When I dropped the truck before my 3 day expiry time, he charged me for an extra day. I would not recommend anyone to deal with this staff. I have other friends who are relocating to Ottawa, and definitely they will not use his services

The van was filthy! There was cigarette ashes all over the center console, coffee spills and even a used band-aid from some previous client. I wiped down the interior myself to feel better about using the vehicle. I also requested moving blankets. The U-Haul agent went to a back room brought out a pile of blankets in a ball and threw them in the back of the van after dragging them through puddles of water and mud. This guy just didn't care or have a clue. One blanket was full of holes. I had to wash four of the blankets because they were wet and dirty. The back of the van was also very dirty. I had to sweep it out myself. Overall it was not a good experience. Had I not been in a tight predicament for time and availability of a van, I would not have taken the vehicle.

The person I picked up the Uhaul from at 4000 Bridle path was very rude to me. He told me for 5 minutes straight that the Uhaul is parked in Kanata and I have to go get it. After I almost cried he threw the keys at me saying it’s in the back. Then I step into the Uhaul and there’s almost zero gas, which the last time I rented one they gave me a paper indicating where the gas should be. I was given no paper, no receipt. I had returned the Uhaul with the gas at the second stick. He said that I did not put in any gas into the truck (which I did) and I must give him 15$ in cash. He then put the 15$ in his pocket and said have a good day. I’m very upset with this experience.

The man working there was very Unprofessional. He made me read my credit card numbers out loud in the store while other people where in the store. Cigarette and joints were visibly on the ground, on seats and inside truck. Gas light was on when we got the truck, the man gave me a 20 dollar bill to fill the truck up to a quarter but that still wasn't enough to fill the truck up to a quarter, plus I had to pay for the kilometres to find a gas station. Head Lights in uhaul were not working at night and had to drive with high beams on. It was so dangerous that I couldn’t drive it any more so I had to return it as soon as possible.

I got the truck I wanted but ordered two dozen furniture blankets, one utility dolly and two furniture dollies. Received five blankets, two utility dollies and one furniture because that was all he had. Also the pickup location was moved from a nearby location to more than 30 minutes away and one-hour later, which meant we could only start 1.5 hours later. Have what the order says and when the customer wants it.

The truck I rented had vomit in the front seat / driver door. The franchisee never cleaned the truck, it smelled so bad I had to keep the window open for the full time I drove it. In addition, the window handle was missing the knob and I had trouble putting the window down, in the middle of winter no less. I'd like a rebate / credit for renting from such an awful place. LS

When we picked up the truck, it had 1/4 tank of gas which meant we were forced to fill up prior to our move. The equipment was not in the truck and we had to go to another van ourselves to get the equipment we rented. We rented the 17’ truck which upon arrival were told that it was not working. We were given a 15’ foot truck- no discount for our troubles. The owner was very friendly just did not seem equipped to run that business out of his store.

Posted hours are 10 am to 8 pm. I arrived at 9:55 am to return the truck but the owner of the store didn't arrive and open the store until after 10:15 am so we didn't start out well. Then as I was coming into the store, I was told I had to go back out and bring the truck around back. There was no signage saying so. Because I paid cash deposit of $100, the owner said I would have to get a cheque mailed to me which I refused. After three attempts, he was able to put the deposit refund back on to my debit card however would not provide any paperwork and only insisted on it being mailed to me. Either a U-Haul receipt or a debit receipt should be provided to the customer like any other transaction.

first i was promissed a truck at another location closer that i booked on oct 22 2017 then at 11.00 on oct27 2017 got e mail to pick up truck at a far location at 1.00 pm oct 28 2017 that was not possible then i had to call customer service and scramble to find a substitute truck far again to pick up only at 10.00 am oct 28 2017 and had to pay 25 extra milles and retailer didn't even have a printer to give me the contract or bill of sale.i think i should get a refund for the 25 extra milles
