Avoid at all costs. The first interaction with Romeo, the employee on site was good (we signed the contract, discussed the costs, took the keys) but when we got into the cargo van we had rented, the smell of horse manure was overwhelming. As we were short on time, we decided to just suck it up for a couple of hours. When we arrived at our first destination and opened the back of the van for the first time, the inside was absolutely revolting with dirt, melted asphalt and other trash in the back (I admit that checking the condition of the truck before use was partially my responsibility, but the staff should have cleaned it in between customers, or at least done a walk-through with us first to check). Upon returning the vehicle and expressing our dissatisfaction, we were met with aggressive language from one employee who told us it "was not his fault" and that we "should have been smart enough to check first." The other employee, Romeo, was comparably courteous, apologized but ultimately refused to offer us any kind of compensation. We offered several solutions, e.g. partial refund, partial discount for next rental, or perhaps even a free car wash for our car, but he would not even provide us with an email address or phone number to file a complaint as requested. We are now corresponding with U-Haul directly (rather than with this particular franchise) in order to resolve this situation and be compensated for the discomfort, lack of professionalism and customer service and damages to transported property (it cost us a lot of money to get our stuff cleaned and horse-manure-smell-free). In a nutshell, this was a waste of money, time and energy. Don't waste yours too.

1) My arrangement based on reservation allowed 235km / day, but agent at Lave Auto du Port the counter somehow managed to put on a paper 146km, which led to overcharge upon return (my counter was 201km. Will call you tomorrow and demand refund. 2) Agent at Hasty Market in Ottawa was refusing to take vehicle back claiming that it's not on a system. After shoving him papers that clearly specify his shop he agreed to take, even though mentioned that he is not allowed to. Overall - worst rental experience in years.

Make 4x8 trailers available when reserved in advance. I almost got cancelled at the last minute. I had to complain to get the trailer I needed and I had to go half across the city to pick it up.

It's the fourth time I do business with Uhaul in différent location this year and this one was from far my wrost customer experience.

Location was set for 8AM with self pick up. The place where I pick up the truck opens at 9AM and there's no self pick up service.

The agent who gave me the keys of the van attempted to deliberately double the price, even when I had a reservation at the standard rate. He argued that it is due to the busy season. I threatened to call your offices. Only then did he desist and gave me the rate I had originally agreed to.

Make sure your self check in system actually works. Nobody seems to know what's going on with this, although the staff were very understanding and just let me take the truck even though I "didn't book" according to the app.

The guy does not have customer services manners and saying bad words to the clients. I would not recommend this branch to keep operating.
